Approaches to Learning Posters & Assessment for Lower Grades
Approaches to Learning Posters & Assessment for Lower Grades
IB PYP Approaches to Learning Skills posters & reflection for the little kids! Use these colorful, printable posters to introduce and review the language of the trans-disciplinary ATL skills within the PYP. All with highly engaging images that connect with the actions of the skills and in child-friendly language.
They are designed with the lower elementary in mind and use a lot of the verbiage directly from the International Baccalaureate. Learning to use the academic language confidently is, in itself, a trait of the Learner Profile.
Think of the Approaches to Learning skills as the actions that effectively allow the children to step up to their role of learner in an engaging and relevant way. This resource also includes reflection/assessment charts for the children to self/peer assess their progress with each of the ATL Skills.
Use these posters as a continual review of the daily language used within the PYP. Other times, focus on only a few of the skills as part of your on-going REFLECTION throughout your units of inquiry.
You can find more ideas and early years resources for implementing the IB PYP framework in the younger years in my blog and my collection in my store.
